Organised and hosted by 
KIC-Europe (Korea Research & Innovation Centre – Europe) the first edition of Korea Innovation Day will take place on February 26 in Brussels.

The Korea Innovation Day - Korea Safe & Smart Living Technologies - will bring together top researchers from Korea and Europe, Tech-Transfer professionals, Corporate R&D, Business Angels, and potential investors. Supported by the MSIP (Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning) and the Korean Embassy in Brussels, the Korea innovation Day is first event of its kind to provide a platform for strong commitment to reinforce the EU-Korea cooperation in the field of ICT, Life Science, Cleantech, Machinery & Industrial technology. 

The programme of the event foresees opening remarks by Dr. GiWon On (President of KIC-Europe), congratulatory addresses by H.E. Chang-Beom Kim (Korean Ambassador to Belgium & to the EU), Mr. Robert-Jan Smits (Director General of DG R&I) and Prof Dr. Min-Keun Chung, (Chairperson of NRF Korea) Keynotes addresses will be given by Prof.Dr. Peter Olesen, (Governing Board Chairman of EIT) Mr. Wim De Waele (CEO of iMinds)  and Mr. Sang Woo Kim (President of Corporate Affairs, Samsung Electronics Europe).
