Overview

After 6 successful events in other European countries, the European Tech Tour Association organized the French Tech Tour on 19-21 September 2001.

This two and a half day event, widely covered by international press, provided the most innovative start-up technology companies in France and allowed them to meet and network with a distinguished group of 55 senior professionals from leading international technology corporations, venture capitalists, advisors, investment banks, and service providers.

The European Tech Tour Association has already proved to be instrumental to a number of companies in previous Tech Tours held in Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Finland and Spain. Participating companies have particularly benefited from meeting corporate partners and potential investors who helped them move quickly through the expansion and internationalization phases of development.

Objective

To identify the top 30 high-growth privately held technology companies in France and introduce them to Asian, European and US investors and service professionals who can assist in their global expansion.

The Tour is a unique opportunity for participants to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of French most advanced high-technology companies. We invited young, innovative French companies looking to expand globally to take advantage of the presence of high-technology industry leaders and investors encouraging the development of global strategic initiatives.

The French Tech Tour 2001 starting point was Paris and it ended in Sophia Antipolis. Participants visited several cutting-edge companies over two days.
